About Us

We love watching our hunting dogs work in the pheasant fields and in the duck blind. But in reality, we only get out a handful of days each year which means that they are a family dog the rest of the year.  If you are like us, you want the traits of the American Field Trial Labs that perform so well while hunting and the temperament of the English labs when at home. 
That is why we decided to breed specifically for the casual hunter who wants a dog who can perform for a few weekends in the fall and winter but is easy to live with the rest of the year.  An American Lab's hunting drive and instinct with the temperament and looks of the English Lab.  A mellow companion who can go hiking with you or just hang out and then turn it on when you pick up the shotgun.  That is the Green Mountain Labradors puppy.
