Barley
American Lab
Barley is a 6 year old female American Lab. She has successfully whelped three litters (2019, 2020, 2021). Barley pointed her first pheasant at 6 months old. Her instinct to hunt close, great nose and never ending energy combined with her extreme athleticism make her a joy to hunt with. At home Barley is a friendly dog, eager to please and loves to go running or play fetch.
Barley has all of her health clearances including OFA certified hips (Excellent), elbows (Normal) and eyes. Centronuclear Myopathy (Clear), Degenerative Myelophathy (Clear), Exercise-Induced Collapase (Clear), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (Clear),
Macular Corneal Dystrophy (Clear), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (Clear), Retinal Dyspasia/Oculoskeletal Dysplasia 1 (Clear), Skeletal Dysplasia 2 (Clear).
Barley is an outstanding American Lab from Arrowhead Kennels in Hudson, IA. Her pedigree is full of master hunters and field trial champions. Barley's pedigree can be found here.

Indie
1/2 American 1/2 English
Indie is Barley's daughter from her first litter with Ruger (2019) and a great example of the type of dog that we are breeding for. She has many of the English traits of her father (build and temperment) while maintaining the athleticism and drive to retrieve and play like her mother. She is a patient hunter, using her nose and methodically working the field and is an excellent retriever. She is mellow around the house, great with the kids and easy to train. Indie whelped her first litter in 2021 after obtaining all of her health clearances. We anticipate her next a litter to be in the summer of 2022.
